The short version
Plantvio helps you identify and care for plants. We collect only what we need to run the app — your email, the plants and photos you add, and basic usage. We never sell your data.
What we collect
- Account: your email address and name.
- Your garden: plants you add, photos you upload, watering logs and reminders.
- Scans: photos you submit for AI identification & diagnosis.
- Technical: approximate country (from your IP) to show local plant trends, and standard device/usage logs.
How we use it
To run your account, identify and diagnose your plants, show local plant trends, send sign-in codes, and improve the product. Plant photos you submit are sent to our AI provider (Google Gemini) only to generate your result.
Who we share it with
Service providers that make the app work: Supabase (database & storage), Resend (sign-in emails), Stripe (payments), Google Gemini (AI), and iNaturalist/GBIF (plant data). They process data only on our behalf. We never sell personal data.
Storage & security
Data is stored with Supabase and protected by row-level security so you can only see your own data. Photos live in access-controlled storage.
Your rights
You can view and update your profile, delete plants and photos, and request full account deletion at any time by contacting us.
