Your First Spring Checklist

spring

Spring has a way of arriving all at once — and it's easy to feel like you're already behind. You're not. Here's a gentle place to start.

1. Walk your garden with a cup of tea

Before you do anything, just look. Notice what made it through winter, what looks tired, and what surprised you.

2. Clear, don't scrub

Rake out the heaviest debris, but leave some leaf litter around perennials — beneficial insects are still waking up in there.

3. Feed your soil, not just your plants

A 2-inch layer of compost on your beds is the single kindest thing you can do this month. No digging required — just lay it on top.

4. Start small with seeds

Pick three things you actually love to eat or look at. Three. You can always add more later — and you'll enjoy it more.
